In terms of minor differences, the Redmi 5A integrated with higher micro-SD storage support up to 256GB as compare to Redmi 4A supports 128GB. And the battery rating now goes from 3120 mAh to 3000 mAh. Xiaomi concurs that the Redmi 5A isn’t a redesign. It’s something of a cosmetic update. The organization says this is a “cell phone for everybody” and the 5A takes up the low-end market from the Redmi 4A from hereon.

The Redmi 5A went on sale at 12 noon on December 7, across Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores. According to late reports, you may soon have the capacity to buy the 3GB RAM variation of the Redmi 5A from offline retailers by paying a premium of Rs 500, conveying the aggregate cost up to Rs 7,499.
